Rachael is currently refining her professional direction while navigating the realities of building a career as a disabled practitioner.

Her portfolio reflects an evolving practice and a growing interest in inclusive, accessible professional environments. Rachael values communities that prioritise thoughtful inclusivity and looks forward to remaining connected with the DAF network.

Mia Kennedy

Alumni - Graduated with a Bachelor of Health Sciences

With the freedom provided by the scholarship’s support to focus on her studies and health, Mia discovered a passion for genetics and is now preparing to commence a Masters of Genetic Counselling at the University of Technology Sydney in 2026.

"I couldn’t believe that I was so lucky to receive the scholarship. I was so happy that the effort I put in the application and the time that I spent on the animations was appreciated.
